The standard Cat 3024 engine used on the PB50 lift truck is a naturally aspirated model rated 52 hp. A turbocharged version rated 62 hp is available as an option on the PB50 and is the standard engine on the PB65. The engine package on both machines incorporates an SRF America heavy-duty frame-mounted radiator and Donaldson dual-element air cleaner. A cyclonic precleaner is also available as an option, the company said.The engine drives a Bosch Rexroth AA10VG hydraulic pump that power the hydrostatic drive. Bosch Rexroth gear pumps are used to power the lift and auxiliary systems. The hydrostatic drive pump incorporates an ant-stall system designed to prevent engine stalling because of overload. "The anti-stall feature reduces drive pump output when engine output cannot meet the demand," Pohl explained. "This prevents the engine from bogging down and stalling. Because the feature is fully automatic, it allows the operator to concentrate fully on driving the machine in rough terrain."
